We share our studio with 2 little finches (blacky and bluey) and 5 silly goldfish that only care about food.
Last night we attended the opening night of the new exhibition of my lovely, super talented friend Liz McKay. We are BIG fans of Liz’s work and its so exciting when she gets to have an exhibition in Sydney, her latest collection of paintings did not disappoint and are so beautiful in real life (my photograhy does not do them justice) The exhibition runs until the 2nd July and you can check it out at Trevor Victor Harvey Gallery in Seaforth.
We received our new penguin mugs today – what a brilliant idea from the guys that bought us Pantone mugs (well in Sydney anyway) Get yours now at www.until.com.au I’m going to have to go back and get an orange one now, Hmm and maybe some pencils too!

We spent a good part of the weekend hanging out and selling our Made by White goodies at the Finders Keepers markets. It was so much fun with lots of our friends down there too, Made590, the Raisin Did it, Andrea Smith Illustration, The Encouragement Award, Donna Sgro, Secret Squirrel. By far the best market ever, thanks to the super lovely Brooke and Sarah for making it all possible. x

Last night we went to The National Grid Gallery to check out Nicky Crowleys wonderful artworks. Nicky is the co-owner of Pulp Creative Paper. I’ve loved Nickys illustrations since I first met her and it was so much fun to see them up on the walls in such a great gallery! (I still can’t decide which was my favourite). The show runs from the 24th April til the 15th May so if you are out that way make sure you go and check them out – there are 4 other artists in the group show – all AMAZING, lots of skulls in all the artworks which makes me an instant fan. I’m really excited about getting a new dress from the latest Donna Sgro collection, a collection that featured in this years Japan Fashion Week!! After much decision making I decided I needed this super cool ruffle dress and squid print tights (first photo), now all I need to do is wait, wait, wait, until it is MINE !!
Today while down in Dank Street we found a great little shop filled with beautiful original vintage posters! We love vintage posters and recently bought some repo ones to put up in our kitchen, if only we had known this store was just around the corner, it would be lovely to have an original! www.studiomvintagepsoters.com
Last month my sister Kelly and I designed an invite for our little friend Morrisons birthday party – he was turning 1 and having a jungle themed party!! Morrisons mum (and very good friend of ours) Christina got this amazing cake made at Polkadot Cookies and Cakes in Newtown which was based on our invite. I’m just amazed at how cool this cake is and it tasted even better!
